he Citizen’s Advice Bureau has made a website which covers most if not all issues that can be faced by a teen. It can be found here, and covers things ranging from discrimination in health care to drugs, sexual health and even tattoos.
Sexual Health:
There are loads of services freely available to young people, such as the GUM clinics and Brook and even advice and care on FGM.
If you are not sure which services is right for you, call NHS 111 who will be able to advice you. Not all service providers offer the full range of sexual health services, and it’s always best to check what’s on offer in advance.
If you visit a sexual health service for the first time, you are usually asked to fill in a form with your name and contact details. With the exception of the GP, you do not have to give your real name or tell staff who your GP is if you do not want to. You can visit any sexual health clinic; it doesn’t have to be one in your local area.
For more information and information on contraception, pregnancy, abortions and sexual assault please see here.
Mental Health:
Whether you are experiencing mental health issues, you are worried about someone else, or you are interested in how to stay mentally healthy, there are lots of different ways you can look after your mental health and find support. If you want to find out more, visit:
